It’s pretty odd that I would take the time to write about a current event like a Plane Crash in New Yorks Hudson River. It’s also not every day that a Pilot like Chelsey B. “Sully” Sullenberger makes a perfect miracle landing in the Hudson river, 6 minutes after takeoff and not have the place burst into flames or flip in a violent way like we have seen in Plane Crash videos before. (Plane crash video below).
After watching this entire thing unfold on TV I shook my head over and over again, I hate flying and I always have. Of course shit like this doesn’t make me any more excited about flying. I will also say that I thought it was a shame that the worthless piece of shit Geaorge Bush’s little “peace out” speech interupted the news coverage of the Hudson River plane crash. I mean really, havent we heard enough of that moron? Can’t he just ride off into the sunset on a steel d___o and leave all of us to move on and forward?

No sense destroying the real point of this post which was to point out a Hero (Chelsey B. “Sully” Sullenberger) who stayed calm in the crunch and saved 150 people’s lives in doing so. Sully made it happen and made it happen in a way that not many people on this planet would have been able to do and for that he deserves a huge thumbs up and everything else he gets out of it. Just think Joe “The Plumber” is still on the effin news and all he did was ask a question, this Pilot “Sully” saved 150 pives and didn’t wreck a plane on the streets of New York or New Jersey.. Hopefully we will be hearing plenty of things about Sully and he gets his due, Im curious what goes on with a Pilot like Sully moving forward? Does Sully get book deals? Movie deals? An early MASSIVE retirment package from US Airway? Anyone have any idea? Leave a comment and let me know what you think Sully deserves or if you know what he might get out of it let us know.

I didn’t have a chance to read them right away but I did end up reading them, very nice posts indeed. It’s too bad this story didn’t really get the coverage it deserved.
Thats amazing. He’s a hero, without a doubt.
I saw someone predicting (half-jokingly, but still) that he’ll sit next to Michelle in the State of the Union speech. An America with real heroes rather than manufactured ones–isn’t that something?
OM’s last blog post..What did Richardson really say in his acceptance speech?

It seems too good to be true, we have been subject to a bunch of fake political pathetic heads as hero’s and leaders for a long time now, seeing a true hero is a nice feeling again.
Never take that he is a hreo, but with help. If it were not for the ferrys that were right there they would have survived the crash to die of the cold water. Not to mention them ferry never knew why it came down, we though when the door opened the could have been shooting or maybe worse. People forget, you have 8 minutes if you in good shape. Im sure he didnt swim all them people in, since i pulled him out of the water with pout one thank you from the air line

Yeah your probably reading a little too deep into the article, the bottom line is that he had to safely land the plane in the water in order to give the ferry’s and tug’s a chance at saving anyone. There’s no question there were numerous hero’s there that day.
