Some of you that visit this place on a daily basis looking for blogging tips, business tips or whatever else people can find here might have noticed a button next to each of my post titles. The button is displayed thanks to the Blog Engage WordPress plugin I currently use here on my blog as a way of getting additional traffic and networking with other blog people (it’s a breed).
Here’s what the Blog Engage vote button looks like:
I have been using the plugin here for a while now and I have really seen some excellent traffic from the Blog Engage community, I have also met some pretty cool people from there too. As I see a return in traffic and results from being involved in various communities online I will typically start featuring the plugin or directory here on a monthly basis, I do it to increase reader awareness as well as increase reader participation.
Below you will find a collection of posts from Extreme John that were listed on Blog Engage over the past week that managed to be listed as the best of the week, or at least on the best of the week page. In addition to a list of my posts that did the best over the last few weeks I have also included a few of my favorite articles that I voted on over the last few weeks.

I am going to stay away from the “cheddar bob” articles, but I want to say that the BlogEngage plugin has some html mistakes in it that I have had trouble finding how to fix in my code yet. They are simple mistakes like not closing out a code with /> and I plan to email Brian this weekend (hey I was busy with a major ice storm for Christmas and no power till today!
) but I discovered this because I like to “validate” the code in my sites after building them and went to the w3c site to do that when I discovered the code error.
Anyway, I love blog engage, and the script error is nothing….
