My Official Superbowl XLIII Picks

The stage has been set for a couple of weeks now and it’s time for Tampa Bay to rip it up with Superbowl XLIII kickin off on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. The Arizona Cardinals who are 7 point underdogs will be taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers who won the Superbowl and gave me a huge Superbowl win a few years back. Now keep in mind before taking any of my picks serious my entire playoff record has sucked beyond recognition, I can’t remember if I even won a single game. Soooooooo, yeah…. Back to the Superbowl and my time to shine, Im due people…. plain and simple just like I pulled it out big a few years ago it’s my time to make it happen again, I rolled my Sevens on the playoff games it’s now time for me to hit point and hit point big… Ride with me on my Official Superbowl XLIII picks (at your own risk) and you will also win big.

Right now I could lead you along on a huge journey before dropping my picks for the Superbowl but im not feeling is so I will come out with it than explain why. I am taking the Cardinals +7, there you go I said it and Im sure plenty of you won’t agree and that’s just fine. Pittsburgh heald it down with a 14-4 record and the Cardinals probably seem like what would be a team maybe not so deserving of being in the Superbowl in the first place (not true at all), the Cardinals record a not so great 12-7. So you ask, “Why pick the Cardinals to win Superbowl XLIII?” I have a few reasons, one of them is that my good friend Joey “The Man” is from Arizona and Im sure he is beside himself with the Cardinals being in the Superbowl so I have to have that support for my boy, don’t worry though my reasons for picking the Cardinals go deeper than that. First off let’s look at the fact that they are getting 7 points right from go and the Cardinals can score points and have done so against solid defenses and proven they can do it, the Steelers don’t score a ton of points and a quick Cardinals touchdown in the first has the Steelers doing some heavy duty work to make up the -7 deficit they would be at in that event, and Im counting on just that. Now there’s also more reasons, Kurt Warner has a better completion percentage (67%) than Ben Roethlisburger (59.55%), Warner also has more passing yards (5353) than Big Ben (3750)… Now don’t get me wrong this game is not just about the Quarterbacks, well kinda. On any other day it wouldn’t be but this Sunday it will be about the Quarterbacks, Ben already has his ring and Kurt already has been screwed out of his. Arizona is on fire and they have an amazing amount of momentum moving in their direction, where the Steelers have really performed consistently the entire season for the most part. Kurt will want this more and the passing game will be what takes Arizona and gets them in perfect position to win the Superbowl, I wont even get into Fitzgeralds play and what he will mean on Sunday.

The Steelers are no slouch and rightfully so positioned in a place where they are giving up 7 points, and all though I think the points won’t even matter in this one as I see Arizona walking with the trophy at the end of the day. Keep in mind I have recently been called really dumb and my overall record of picking teams pretty much blows, but hey it’s the Superbowl I have to pick someone and thats who Im going with. I will also add in for some extra touches that Ben has thrown a whopping 19 Touchdowns the entire season and almost matched it with 15 interceptions, hardly exciting…. Kurt Warner 38 TD’s and 16 INT’s and Warners rating is sick at 98.9. It is also important to know that 56% of the general betting public has also picked Arizona based on the Spread, and Wagerline’s consensus is 60.9% for Arizona as well based on points and 4 out of 6 Vegas Experts pick Arizona to win . The Arizona Cardinals have also won 2 out of the last 3 meetings between the teams since 2003, notably both teams are very different than 2003.

Arizona Cardinals win for bettors taking the seven points and the Arizona Cardinals win the game period, sorry Steelers fans.
