NFC Championship Game Betting Lines and Prediction

Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints Odds

Earlier today I posted my AFC Championship Game predictions and betting lines now it’s time for my NFC Championship Game odds and predictions post.

Before I get in to my NFC predictions and post the betting lines I think it’s important to point out that my predictions are typically based on who I want to win and rarely based on who I would actually bet on if I were betting on the games. I wouldn’t recommend that any serious sports betting fan take any of my predictions into consideration when deciding on how to place bets for the game. Now that we have that out of the way let’s get down to my NFL NFC Championship Game predictions and the betting odds.

NFC Championship Game

Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints Prediction

This game should be awesome, well a lot of that depends on exactly which New Orleans Saints team shows up to the game against the Vikings. If the New Orleans Saints that dismantled the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday shows up this game should be a nail bitter until the very end. Bret Farve and the Minnesota Vikings are nothing to sneeze at and have been delivering consistent solid football week after week, it seems as if Bret is on a mission of some sort…. Anyone wanna guess what that mission might be?

This is a tough game for me to pick because I really wouldn’t mind seeing Reggie Bush and the New Orleans Saints head off to Superbowl XLIV in Miami against the winner of the AFC Championship Game, but I also wouldn’t mind seeing Bret Farve finish off his career with another Superbowl appearance.

Without taking the betting odds in to consideration I will be pulling for the New Orleans Saints to win.

Well, if we are basing it off who we would like to see win, I would have to go with the Vikings. It would be great to see Farve go out on a win and he usually does a pretty good job of pulling his team through. With that said, I am not sure I would bet on them, even if that means bucking the odds…

@Steve@Lift Chairs, haha yeah I didn’t plan on making any of my picks based on what I would actually bet on. All though I wouldn’t mind betting on it one bit.

I am looking forward to his game the Vikings defense looked great last week against Dallas , we will see if they can shut down the high scoring Saints. I really want the Saints to win this one especially for the fans of New Orleans who waited such a long time for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

@Danny @ Tampa Real Estate, the Saints are def going to need to come out firing, you can’t keep it close with #4 on the other side watching. I can’t wait for this game, the Jets game is going to stress me out way too much.

The majority of people are taking the Colts to kill the Jets this week but you have to consider how well New York matches up against Indy. Indy has the worst running game in the league, and is ALL Peyton. The Jets have the #1 pass-defence and if they can put the clamps on Peyton early… it could very well be a Jets win. TheCoach isn’t calling a J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS win but they will cover the spread. I know Indy shut down Baltimore’s running game last week but the Jets strive on being quick and elusive.. something Ray Rice isn’t…

Minnesota and New Orleans is going to be such a good game. I was hoping all season long these two would meet up in the NFC Championship and honestly.. either team could team this game. The Saints are -3.0 favourites and historically home team get given three points for the home-field advantage… so basically this game is a pick-em and there is ONE thing that I like about the Saints and its that home-field advantage. Last week Warner and Romo combined for 7 sacks and 4 fumbles largely in part to not being able to communicate with their offence. The SuperDome is NUTS and I don’t care how much experience Favre has, the crowd can help a team and also hurt the other so much.

Feel free to check out my picks with scores (and of course cheerleader pictures) @ http://www.lionsdenu.com/category/sports/nfl-guide-2009-2010/

Best of luck to all this week,
Regards,
TheCoach

@TheCoach, thanks for leaving such a detailed comment I will be by to check out your picks as well. The Saints/Vikings game is going to be sick, don’t blink that’s for sure and the crowd can easily put “the clamp” on Bret if NO helps by fueling them with an early scoring drive or big special teams play.

As for the Jets, anything is possible. They have been counted out all year, it’s all good. :) Whatever happens happens.

Saints have the edge right now. There defense is aggressive and I think they will create enough turnovers to win. One other thing is that the special teams play of the Vikings is not that great.

@T Vitiello, it’s a good think they shook that late season flu they had kicking because they would be getting mauled if they showed up playing like that.

Thanks for taking the time to comment I appreciate it.

Your crazy. Farvraaaaa is acting like he’s 25 again, kicking ass and taking names. Vikings are going to run the Saints over.

I am honestly asking this, I’m not being sarcastic, can the Vikings match the Saints score for score? When the Saints offense gets going they can score every time they touch the ball. If Brees can stay upright, he can exploit any secondary, especially one that is banged up.
