NFL Week 4 Predictions

by Extreme John on September 29, 2009 |

It’s time to get your predictions in for Week 4 of the NFL, this is going to work just like the NFL Week 3 Predictions worked when we did away with the points and simply picked winners. If you would like to play there is not crazy prize or anything exciting like that, we are just playing for fun.

If you want to get involved just copy the NFL week 4 schedule below, remove my “x’s” and replace them with your picks and let’s see how everyone does. Once you get your picks decided leave a comment and paste your predictions in the comment field.

This is a simple one folks, slap your $5 on the table and slap a sexy check mark or “X” next to the team you pick to win the match up. Points do not count in this pool all though they might be displayed so you know who is favored and who is the underdog.

As usual I wish everyone luck this week and I will of course be pulling big time for the New York Jets to go 4-0 against the New Orleans Saints, all though if they don’t contain Reggie Bush it’s just not going to happen.

If your into football predictions and other sports predictions or subscribe to my rss feed or follow me on Twitter, all though I didn’t do a great job at tweeting last week I do have over 8,000 legit tweets and interact with any of my followers that interact with me.

P.s. My 8 year old princess won the pick’em pool last week, I was pretty excited for her she has been getting more and more into football on Sunday.

I think a lot of us are very interested in that Packers/Vikings game, and not because of all the Favre hype: he’s actually a weakness the Vikings are going to have to work very hard to conceal, and the Packers’ Dom Capers has improved the Packers’ defense considerably.

Brad Childress is a very capable coach, though, and Adrian Peterson – well, enough said.

Jets/Saints is another game where the coaches will make the difference: Sean Payton was brilliant against the Eagles, but the other two teams they’ve crushed were teams that might be competitive later in the year. As of right now, they have issues, and the Saints definitely are thin on personnel. Rex Ryan and Brian Schottenheimer are very smart coaches with lots of neat plans, but they have personnel problems too – Mark Sanchez is still a rookie.

Question: I think something like 7% of NFL fans have actually gotten to see a game live. You’re a businessman, so I’m curious: is that a good thing for the NFL? Do they have ways of remedying it?

@ashok, you know I am fired up about that Jets game, as concerning or as hard as I think that game might be for the Jets I think it’s going to be a killer game.

@Burçlar, I use to do my picks with the points and might go back to that soon, but right now time crunched so it’s gotta be pick’em style.

I can’t wait to the MNF. Seeing Favre return to Lambeau is going to be interesting.
