Nice Green and UGLY 2

A few weeks ago I wrote an article titled “Nice, Green and UGLY”, in that article I shared a few pictures of some of the shrubs around my house that had not been trimmed for a while.

After posting that article and the pictures of shrubs that didn’t get the love  felt they needed, I decided to take the advice of my great readers and give Nice, Green and Beautiful a call and see if they could change the UGLY to beautiful.

I called and left a message and waited for someone to get back to me, a young lady from the main office ended up getting back to me. After explaining my frustration with the trimming of the shrubs in my yard, the young lady assured me that it would be taken care of the next time my lawn crew came out.

Sure enough the next time the lawn crew came and did their normal thing, I pulled into the driveway to find that none of the shrubs had been trimmed. My lawn crew comes on Thursday’s, which this week happened to be a few days before the 4th of July weekend.

When I called Nice, Green and Beautiful again to complain that nothing we discussed the previous week had been done they were closed on Friday for the 4th of July weekend, which meant nice messy shrubs for the holiday weekend. Of course this hardly thrilled me.

I ended up hearing back from the same girl I spoke to when I had initially called, she was actually nice enough to come out and take a look at exactly what issues I had. We took about 20 minutes to go through each of the sections on the front of my house so I could explain how I liked things to be trimmed, she assured me that everything would be taken care of on the next lawn crews trip.

I returned to the house after running some errands on Friday to find that the shrubs in question were trimmed, and trimmed properly. Now getting on to my next gripe, we specifically walked what needed to be trimmed a few days earlier, I had three key areas that I wanted trimmed and that was pretty much it. Instead they hacked down EVERYTHING in the front yard.

As you can see by the pictures below the lawn crew went a little crazy and ended up hacking down just about everything in the front yard, so aggravating! I am almost to the point that I think I should just buy my own lawn equipment and do the crap myself, now if someone would just add another 10 hours to each day to make that possible it would be nice.

On a side note I am excited to announce that the flip flops that Lisa and the princess got me for my birthday stopped hurting between my big giant toe and the toe next to it, not sure why but that little piece always seems to annoy the hell out of my feet.
