Nice Green and Ugly

by Extreme John on June 22, 2009 |

I have been meaning to post these pictures and this quick rant for a few days now and haven’t had a chance to get around to it. I wanted to take a minute and get your feedback on these pictures and how you would handle the situation with the service company that should be taking care of this kind of lawn maintenance stuff, especially when they are hired to do so.

We have been using the same lawn maintenance company since we moved into the house a few years ago, they do the typical lawn maintenance stuff like mowing the lawn, and trimming the bushes. We use Nice, Green and Beautiful which is a pretty well known if not the most well known lawn maintenance company in the area. For the most part Nice, Green and Beautiful do a pretty good job, nothing super great by any means but not the typical terrible service we have become use to accepting from previous lawn maintenance providers at other homes in the area.

One of the things that it seems I am constantly getting annoyed over is how the shrubs and this one specific Hibiscus tree get trimmed, or better yet… Don’t get trimmed. Take a moment to check out the pictures below and explain to me how this could possibly make sense or be considered acceptable by the particular lawn maintenance crew that does our house.

Picture of shrubs that have not been trimmed, located right next to the above trimmed shrub.

Just one more picture to show the difference between the trim jobs.

This isn’t the first time I have been pissed off by the lack of trimming going on, but it is the first time I have been able to get a picture of one shrub located two inches from the other shrubs and only one shrub has been trimmed. What would you do?

Excellent rant and well deserved. Call them to the carpet. Get them back out there to do it right bro.

@TCC Im terrible at calling people to bitch, it seems to just piss me off more. All though I know if I did call they would quickly resolve the problem, they are always good in the front office there and like I said I usually don’t have too much to complain about in regards to them, with the exception of the maintenance of the shrubs.

Hmmm, I guess you´re going to have to take them by the hand and specifically tell them what you expect to be done each time. Are they running out of time perhaps?

@RML I guess when it comes to proper shrub maintenance that might be one of my only choices. haha

How come your lawn maintenance crew got away without finishing the trimming job for you? You shouldn’t have paid them anyway. They will do the same with other clients; and its their lost not yours.
