Perfect Fathers Day

I am not a huge fan of all the tiny little “Special Days” or “Holidays” as some people consider them come around. To be honest with you I think some of them are pretty stupid like “Sweetest Day“, I never understood that one or heard of it until I lived in Michigan, what the hell is the purpose of it if you already have Valentine’s Day.

Father’s Day is one of those days that you can either make a big deal out of and force a bunch of people around you into a panic over gifts and whatever else. I don’t really see the point in it, I mean after all I am a guy and I don’t think half this stuff is even close to as important to use as it is to the woman of the world. I would rather just have a relaxed day and spend it with the family, I mean that’s what it’s about anyway, being a Father which requires having a Family.

My day started off by me running into my Daughter while I headed to the laundry room to drop of some dirty clothes, she instantly has a giant smile and said, “Happy Fathers Day” and handed me a yellow piece of paper with a map she had drew on it. I was suppose to follow the map through the house, when the map ended I was in the Theater Room and kinda looked around like now what when she gave me a big hug and a kiss and said, “Happy Fathers Day” again. It was a great way to start off the day. I love when the kids take time to make something for me, it’s better than any it because I can see how special it makes them feel to give me something they created on their own. It was a day full of Hand Made special gifts from my Daughter, Son and even my Niece who stayed over last night, I treat her as if she is one of my own so thats important to me. My son made this giant picture of, Me… yeah Me of all things, and of course it included some Extreme Tan and Smoothies stuff as well as the Signature Extreme John hair. I had all kinds of cards that were Bulldog related or had a drawing of my hair on the inside (always funny).

I had the perfect breakfast with some kick ass French Toast and Sausage and pretty much watched some sports, worked on The Tan Forum a little bit and answered some emails. I closed out the day with a kick ass cake I had mentioned I was craving a few weeks back that Lisa was nice enough to hand make for me and now I am sitting here writing my blog at 2am. Even though today was hardly about the gifts or going out to dinner (we stayed in by my choice) the best part of the day was staying home and having a really nice day with the family. I did get some kick ass Affliction and Extreme Cotoure shirts, Ghost Rider for Blue Ray, the Sony Cybershot I have been wanting, so much better than carrying around my bulky Canon Camera and my son hand made a plaque with my favorite colors that he hand painted in a parking lot to surprise me with it that says DAD. The perfect Fathers Day for me, I hope all of the other Fathers of the world had a great day as well and Dad you know I thought of you all day today, I miss you more than you know.
