I am constantly getting messages from people or reading posts on the Tan Forum about people saying they love my Rant’s, or I will see people I know that read my blog and at some point someone will tell me how they love to read the rants on my blog.
I just came back from my Clearwater Tanning salon where we just had the floors refinished which followed up a remodel we had last year. We put the same flooring type in the salon that we recently had put in our garage at home. The floor at home has stood up to some solid automobile abuse so I figured at the very least it should be able to deal with the abuse our customers and associates do to the floor on a daily basis 
We have a Florist to the left of our Clearwater location and a Liquor store to the right of our location, we have always had a good relationship with any of our neighbor tenants at all of our salons. These two tenants both came in a couple of years after we had already been in the shopping center and like I said we have always gotten along.
First phone call I had this morning someone told me how both neighbors were complaining about the odor from the floor finish all day yesterday. Than I spoke to Nate who runs all of my salons for me and he asked me if I wanted to hear a funny story, he had the same story about the neighbors not being happy. I decide to jump in the car and head to the salon so I can see how it looks, I’m not really concerned about the smell of it because like I said I had the same stuff put in my house and the smell wasn’t that bad at all.
When I arrived to the Clearwater store, the first thing the associate working said to me was, “They are not happy at all.” referring to the neighbors in regards to the smell from the newly applied floor finish. Typically I try to avoid the phone game and the he said she said crap because you never get the fully story that way, however when you hear a similar story from 3 different people you have to assume it holds some value towards the truth (not in every case but in many cases).
I will tell you when I walked in the salon I could see how great the floor looked before I even noticed the smell of the floor coating. So IF what everything I heard was true about the complaints it leads me to wonder if people really have that much time on their hands, where the smell of a remodeled floor through 5/8″ Drywall can bring you to the point where your willing to complain about it. Is it really that big of a deal? It’s not something you can live with for a day or a day and a half before it goes away? Yes I rant people, but come on there’s a lot more people out there that find the dumbest and smallest shit they can find to cry about. So are they ranting too or just overly bitching and crying about something that isn’t a big deal in the big scheme of things.
I am sure there are people that have read my rants and will say that I am just like the people I mentioned above that cry about the smallest shit. I think a rant is a rant it’s someone with a more than valid point about something that numerous people will also find a common ground on, except for the few idiots that are the one’s being ranted about. At least I rant, I don’t cry. There’s a big difference. Please rant don’t be a whiner about all of the stupid little shit things in life, or make a big deal out of little things, it’s annoying… Even to a ranter.
