Real Faces Billboard Campaign Proofs

A few days ago I wrote a post titled “Twitter Pre-Launch Marketing” where I explained how I decided to use Twitter as an outlet to pre-release our new “Real Faces Billboard Campaign” for Extreme Tan and Smoothies.

I promised that I would share the proofs with you once I received them from my boy Mike over at Clear Channel Outdoor, for those of you that are not familiar with the term “proofs” it simply is the example art work for your advertisement, in the event you needed to make changes to your ad or the ad design you would make those changes on the proof and resubmit it for changes to the designer.

If you look at the image to the upper left of this post, the sexy blond bombshell is the girl we have been using for over 5 years on print ads, vehicle wraps and billboards. It was time for a change, below you see the next wave of Extreme Tan and Smoothies billboards and they are all part of the Real Faces campaign.

We recently had a wave of internal promotions and we figured that it would be a blast if we had all of the girls being promoted or celebrating a longevity anniversary featured on the billboards with a small message.

The billboards you see here will be displayed for the next 30 days all over random locations within Pinellas County, Extreme Tan and Smoothies has six locations in Pinellas County Florida.

I have already decided what changes we will be making to the billboards for next month and I think it should be a pretty big hit, everyone seems to really love the new billboards we recently did for mobile spray tanning that featured Melissa. The next wave of Extreme Tan and Smoothies billboards will be geared at thanking some of our long term customers for staying loyal to our tanning salons and services over the past 5 years, we will do this by featuring those customers on billboards around town.

Since we only photographed four Extreme tan and Smoothies girls for this billboard campaign and we have 8 billboards planned, I decided to change up a previous billboard with a new offer. The additional four billboards will feature Melissa advertising the first ever billboard spray tanning special we have ever done, we will be advertising $10 Spray Tans for the entire month that these billboards will be on display.

I want to thank Megan, Kristen, Shayna and Nicole for being part of the new Real Faces Billboard campaign, I have a feeling we will be seeing some new faces on the billboards again real soon. Thanks again girls you all looked amazing and did an excellent job, we def had fun with it.
