I bet there were plenty of you that thought, “Sure he will be back with another update today!” when I said it earlier today in my “Small Business Foursquare Friday Giveaway” post. Well guess what? I am actually going to get a second post in before the day is over and there’s a good chance that I might get to a few others before the day is over, hopefully it won’t all be shameless self promotion. ;)

Anyway, let’s get down to the topic at hand here. Remember the Milk, I know it might sound a little crazy but any time you forget the milk you stand in front of the fridge with a blank stare on your face wishing you had something that would have helped you remember the milk. No, the string around the finger isn’t a great way to remember the milk and to be honest with you it would look pretty funny wrapped around your finger while you text on your high tech (show off) Motorola Droid, Blackberry or iPhone.

Instead of introducing you to Remember the Milk as a way for you to remember things around your house I want to introduce this incredibly powerful tool to you from a small business owners perspective. Earlier today I had the pleasure of speaking with Jesse from Finicky Window Cleaning, a small business located in Dunedin #Florida. If you live in or around Tampa Bay and you want to keep your windows looking great give FInicky Window Cleaning a shout (727)-736-1511, don’t forget to tell them that Extreme John sent you.

I can’t really remember exactly how we ended up on the topic of tools for small business owners, but in any case I started to explain Remember the Milk to Jesse and went on to explain just how helpful this tool has been to me as a small business owner. I mentioned the Extreme John blog to Jesse and explained that I often write tips for small business owners and post tools for small business owners that might just make life a little easier, assuming that Jesse might come through I decided to write this post so it would be easy for Jesse to find. Not to mention I think Remember the Milk is an excellent tool for ANYONE that wants to be more organized, regardless if it’s in business or in their personal life.

5 Reasons Remember the Milk is Great for Small Business Owners

Remember the Milk is a lifesaver for me, having the ability to add tasks with the Motorola Droid Application while I’m on the run is worth it’s weight in gold. Here are just a few of the reasons I can’t live without Remember the Milk.

  1. No need to cary a notebook.
  2. No weird papers floating around in my pockets anymore.
  3. No annoyed customers because I forget to get back to them.
  4. No more missed meeting.
  5. The Google Chrome extension “ChromeMilk” makes it easy to add and manage tasks without leaving my work screen.

I can easily ramble on and on about the great things that Remember the Milk does for me, with the weekend quickly approaching and your attention span quickly fading away I will avoid the rambling. Give Remember the Milk a try, you will be surprised what it does for your efficiency level.

Hey John, I just want to say Hi to my friend :)

Thanks to Karen, I came from her tweet, and I love this post, nice way to remember tasks lol! the only thing is I get the Milk in the coffee, so I don’t actually see the pure Milk but only in the fridge!

Nice one John! have a great weekend!

This is a pretty cool app. It is pretty funny becuause I only found this app about two weeks ago before I found your blog, and as forgetful as I am this is a wonderful addition to my life.

I’ll have to try the Remember the Milk app as I certainly want to be more organized. I also agree it looks silly to have a string around your finger as you text. ;)

This one looks pretty good all though it only has an app for the iPhone, that won’t work for me.
