This fight, however, disappointed me. Fedor phoned this one in. He looked sloppy and very human in the cage. The punishment he took on the ground from Rogers were strikes he’s never received before, by virtue of not having fought in a cage before. It doesn’t matter how many people you’ve beaten, you simply can’t take that kind of punishment and last very long.

Fedor claims that, despite taking significant damage from Rogers’ punches, he was never hurt and felt the fight was fairly even; in hindsight, he was probably a lot more calm and in control than people give him credit for. However, that calm may not functionally be much different than complacence. There’s no room for complacence in the UFC, where heavyweights move like lightweights and can fight for five rounds. In the UFC – where the top talent is consolidated – Fedor would face heavyweights as large as Rogers and as strong but more well-rounded and well-conditioned.

Brock Lesnar, for all the criticism he’s received for not being well-rounded, knows his simple game to perfection. The larger, stronger and faster Lesnar can easily take Fedor to the ground where he’ll control him, hold him against the cage, and feed him punches until the referee stops the fight. It could be over very quickly, and if Fedor’s phoned-in performance against Rogers and Arlovski were any indication, it will be.

For my sake as a fan, I hope I’m wrong about that.

Once again….Lets examine again Brock Lesnars accomplishements…(i hate pointing out the obvious, but i dont think you posess the mental capacity to piece this together yourself)
Beock is tied 1-1 with a guy who wasn’t even supposed to be walking again after his motorcycle accident( Frank Mir)….
He has managed to pin down Heath Herring….a guy, who used to be somewhat good, but now he is a gatekeeper material at best.
He did beat an “over the hill”"and much smaller 47 year old fighter (Randy)
Fedor has nothing to prove to this 4-1 fighter, who was very much “parachuted” into the position of a HW champion by the UFC management, since his fake wrestling credentials would no doubt increase the ratings by attracting the trailer thrash crowd….

Also i don’t think we will see Brock fighting anymore, due to his health problems, induced by exessive steroid use..

I do agree with you on one point….GSP is the man…he is one of the most talented fighters in the UFC right now.

Here’s the deal little lady, I don’t like Fedor, he doesn’t impress me and in some amazing fashion you manage to impress me even less. Your boring, which is exactly why you come here hoping someone will kick you around a little bit.

In this same crazy world that allows you to have an opinion, I am also allowed to have one. One of the biggest differences between you and I is the fact that I have the balls to put myself out there in regards to my opinions on things, meanwhile you hide behind a silly ass name and jump into posts that are 3 months old hoping that someone will pay attention to you.

Fedor doesn’t have to prove shit to me, in the same fashion Strikeforce watched Cung get knocked out, they will also have to stand by and watch Fedor fall from grace, well that is if they can find anyone in that organization for him to fight that might actually matter.

after reading all those posts I come to agree that fedor is a truly incredible fighter and could easily be in HW UFC top 3. I also agree that he should only fight the best fighters of the world.

As of now, he is putting his legendary status in jeopardy, he is awesome but if he keeps avoiding UFC I will never be able to consider him the best fighter ever. it would be already way late for him to get in UFC, he’s getting old and could jsut get owned right away against a huge lump like Lesnar. Even though i think his respect, attitude, technique and strenght classify him as a legendary fighter, I’d rather see him get a good attempt at an unfair lump like brock than just stay away from UFC.
