I took a little break from posting pictures from our Las Vegas vacation to focus on a few small business related posts over the last week. It’s time to get back to some more pictures from Las Vegas and of course the Las Vegas hotel and restaurant reviews I was throwing together every few days to give you an idea of what our trip was like. Those of you that subscribe to my rss feed or stop by to read from time to time might remember that this was a business trip with a little family vacation mixed into it. I feel that’s important to point out because people always say that taking kids to Las Vegas is rough, based on my last few posts you probably get the sense by now that it wasn’t rough at all.

Anyway, today I wanted to get back in the mix and post another Brazillian steakhouse review, this time It’s a Samba Las Vegas review. Samba is a Brazillian steakhouse located in one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas, The Mirage. I posted a few pictures of The Mirage Hotel and Casino about two weeks ago when I wrote about the volcano that sites in front of The Mirage.

I love writing my steakhouse reviews, especially when it comes to all-you-can-eat Brazillian cuisine. If you’ve been here before you might have seen my Texas De Brazil Review or my Boizao Tampa review, both offer incredible Brazilian cuisine at belly bustin’ levels.

Now comes the sad part. I would love to be able to write a positive review about our experience at Samba in Las Vegas, but it’s just not in the cards. I’ve mentioned how skeptical I can be when it comes to these steakhouses boasting 14, 15, 16, and in some cases 18 different selections of meat and for very good reason. Don’t boast it if you don’t have it. I’m not sure if it was an off night or what but when we went to Samba for dinner the meat selections were far and few between as was the delivery service to the table. At one point it really seemed as if they just didn’t want to serve to the section of the restaurant that we were sitting in, just an assumption based on how poorly the section we were in was serviced.

Unlike Boizao in Tampa, Texas De Brazil in Orlando #Florida and even the non Brazilian steakhouse, Kobe’s Japanese Steakhouse the dimly lit and well decorated Samba didn’t fill the crowd. At the end of the day that’s not going to have me or anyone in my family rushing back to eat at Samba in Las Vegas anytime soon, next time around I guess we will have to go without the Brazilian steakhouse and hit one of the many buffets Vegas has to offer.

Its always a disapointment when food and service are not up to par.
Keep your $$ local and eat it up a Boizao Tampa. :-P

It sounds terrible.. In some cases, there are really steakhouses or even restaurants that have this kind of treatment to their customers. Maybe it will be also an experience to you, not to come back to that steakhouse anymore, yes, maybe you will just go to some other restaurants or steakhouses with equal treatment to their customers.

I don’t know that “terrible” is the right call, but it certainly wasn’t the best Brazilian steakhouse that I’ve been to.
