Shamu Rocks Review

by Extreme John on June 17, 2008 |

Back on May 4th I wrote about Seaworld Orlando in one of my blog posts, at that time Seaworld didn’t have the Shamu Rocks night show. At the last minute on Fathers Day we decided we would take a couple of day trip to Orlando to take the kids to the Nickelodeon Hotel. We were looking at the Nickelodeon Hotel since we had never been there before and my Daughter’s Birthday fell on a Tuesday this year. After checking out all of the things and the different events they had for the kids it was a done deal.

In th process of booking the Hotel room Lisa also called on a Private Dinner at Seaworld for the Shamu Rocks Show and there were still reservations open for the Dinner and the private seating, so Lisa ended up booking it. The Shamu Rocks show was EXCELLENT, it lacked having all the boring chatty Kathy crap that I have seen in so many previous Shamu shows, the action was fast paced, the music was excellent with some true rock classics being played through out the entire show. The one thing that made the show even better was the tricks, I saw some new tricks I had never seen before and some that were pretty amazing at the very least. I would recommend the Shamu Rocks show to anyone and if possible try to book the private dinner it’s worth the $32 it cost for the package. There is a decent variety of food, the beer and drinks were also included but most importantly the view was excellent, we got to see the trainers brushing down one of the Killer Whales and they kept different Killer Whales coming into the private dinner area the entire time. Huge thumbs up to Seaworld on this one I hope you enjoy the pictures.
