Each week I post a recap of the excellent blogging tips and other great blog posts that I have collected during the course of the week and share it here on my blog, I also include links to my most popular posts over the last week as well.
I call this series the Sunday Smash, which is basically my version of a mashup for the week and it gives me a chance to spread some Do Follow link luv on to other blogs that I check out, in some cases those bloggers are nice enough to shoot me a few backlinks in return. I actively read over 100 various blogs during the course of the week on everything from business tips, SEO tips, blogging tips and of course some excellent blogs on mixed martial arts.

I wanted to change up this week’s Sunday Smash as a way to say thanks to everyone that left a comment here on Extreme John last week. As busy as I am with my two business’s I still try to visit each of the bloggers blogs that are nice enough to comment here and contribute on their blog as well (U comment I Follow), lately it’s been getting rough to get to EVERY blog and read every article. I hope this will show my appreciation for the Do Follow comments that you leave here on my blog, I hope you see great results from your Comment Luv links as well.

I’m a Dofollower too
I think spreading the love is a great concept. However, I know some bloggers don’t like to be included in dofollow lists because they feel it can turn into a spammers magnet. For myself, I think that if you’re willing to actually monitor the comments on a blog (along with using a spam filter of course) it shouldn’t be much of a problem to weed out the bad ones.

One plugin is called Lucia’s Linky Luv. It seems to work well. You can set the number of comments to activate dofollow on all the comments left by that commenter. Do a Google for it to see some of the blogs that use it.

Interesting to see the Android vs iPhone competition hotting up. I have to admit, I’m a bit of an Android fan, mainly because I love open source stuff. Having said that, I still haven’t bought an Android phone because I don’t think there’s a iPhone-killer available just yet. Fingers crossed for the new year though!

@Pete@Trial Contact Lenses, I watched that video and as impressive as it was it hardly made me want to buy the phone as a better option to an iPhone.
Keep in mind I am a Blackberry user myself, it’s pretty basic though and the keyboard on the Droid is a big plus for me over the iPhone. I have broken my hands a few times not to mention I have big hands to begin with, typing on that touch screen iPhone would suck.

@Extreme John, to be honest I don’t really like the ad, it reeks a bit of “my dad’s bigger than your dad”, but putting that aside the thing I like about Android is the pace of development – it seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds. Having said that, compared to the iPhone, it’s still got a bit of a way to go to be a real alternative.
Oh and I’ve got pathetic little girly hands so a touch screen keyboard probably won’t give me any problems

That’s a very nice feature there. Most people are too ambitious about their PR and often don’t even allow dofollow links; Most of them don’t even care about their visitors especially after they reached a nice status on google.
