Each week I post a recap of the excellent blogging tips and other great blog posts that I have collected during the course of the week and share it here on my blog, I also include links to my most popular posts over the last week as well.
I call this series the Sunday Smash, which is basically my version of a mashup for the week and it gives me a chance to spread some Do Follow link luv on to other blogs that I check out, in some cases those bloggers are nice enough to shoot me a few backlinks in return. I actively read over 100 various blogs during the course of the week on everything from business tips, SEO tips, blogging tips and of course some excellent blogs on mixed martial arts.

Top Search Engine Referrals
This week was somewhat odd on the blog, I had much fewer blog comments which was due to my lack of being able to comment on other bloggers blogs. My lack of activity also spread over to Twitter where I noticed a decrease in referral traffic on Twitter as well as Twittley, however overall Extreme John had an excellent search engine traffic week and things continue to grow. I plan on getting back on the horse with some updates this week, after all I did say The Slacker is Back.

I too had the same problem, whenevr i am away or less active, i get less comments , but sometimes i am suprised by the comments i get , on some odd days i do get a surge of comments mainly directed from google search

@gautam hans, today was a huge comment day for me so I should have some decent exposure to some of my articles this week. I commented on something like 300 blog posts.

@gautam hans, yes but you make up for it on Twitter and other social networks that help support the blogging community. ;)
I think it’s normal. I got busy for the last 10 days or so with other things and I noticed a decrease in overall traffic to my blog.
That’s why it’s important to keep the connection alive with other bloggers and to constantly update our blogs. Yes Search Engine traffic will always be there but referrals will surely decrease big.

As all people know that backlink from dofollow blog is valuable. But there is no value of nofollow link? If we comment on problogger.net blog then we do not get backlink?
