It’s time for another Sunday Smash and most likely the final installment of the Sunday Smash series, all though I do appreciate all of the traffic and comments generated by the Sunday Smash series it’s just becoming too time consuming and demanding. I also feel that with some of the more recent Twitter trends some of the core things I included in my Sunday Smash articles are really not that exciting for me to write about at this time.
Inside Stat Press the Wordpress Stats Plugin
Regardless if your a new blogger or a pro blogger or just someone that likes to blog for fun you should probably consider installing a wordpress plugin that can give you detailed stats and information about whats going on, on your wordpress blog.

Last Referrers
This is a list of the latest websites to send traffic to your web site, this could be other bloggers in your network or DoFollow blogs that you have link exchanges with. If you use traffic building plugins like CommentLuv you would also see traffic from those referring sites as well.
Stat Press also displays your Last Pages, which are the pages on your site that were most recently called and Last Spiders which are the search engine spiders that recently crawled your blog.

Wordpress Plugins
It’s been a long time since I did my first Wordpress Plugins article which seemed to be received pretty well by all of you, since I am constantly updating and adding new Wordpress Plugins I figured why not add a list of some of my most recent Wordpress plugins.
It is very important to make sure that you keep your Wordpress blog up to date with the latest plugin updates and version updates available, please make sure that you verify that your version of Wordpress is compatible with the plugins I have listed here.
I recently installed this wordpress plugin, it has not had a chance to actually create or output any posts yet but if all goes as planned this handy little wordpress plugin will automatically post a list of your best articles. You can set your options in the wordpress admin area and show Best Posts for the Week, Month or Year.
Better search cleans up your search results on your blog, it also displays results based on relevancy and keep the most popular search terms for your blog at the top of the search engine page. All of this is controlled by options of course, I know that Better Search has helped me in regards to locating previous articles, it returns much more accurate results. Here is a sample search for blog tips on the Extreme John blog.
This wordpress plugin does exactly what it says it does and you can see it to the right of this article if you click on one of the categories it will return a category tree. I am sure there are plenty of other excellent wordpress plugins for category trees, but this is the one I use.
I love this plugin for the wordpress admin area, I hated the terrible navigation of the original wordpress admin area, Ozh’ Admin Drop Down Menu 3.3 wordpress plugin moves the navigation bar to the top of the admin area. In addition to moving the navigation tree it also creates a nice and clean drop down list for navigating to different parts of your admin area.
Smart Archives Reloaded displays your archives in a nice simple and clean format that is very easy for your blog subscribers to navigate and read. You can see a sample of the archives output here.

I really haven’t been as heavy into the Twitter promotion as I was just a few weeks ago, while in my initial Twitter addiction stage I was constantly adding people to Twitter and looking for ways to increase twitter followers. I also spent a fair amount of time writing about the different Twitter tools that I found throughout my web travels and obsessions with Twitter.
Before taking somewhat of a break looking for new tools and looking through the various Twitter resources that are out there I went on a rampage collecting a ton of Twitter information. This list of tools might not be exciting to some of you but there are new Twitter users that are not aware of all of the different Twitter related sites out there, hopefully this will offer new Twitter users some entertainment.
