In my mind these come with most social networking websites, thankfully these can be applied to anywhere.

One that you didn’t mention is the most important one (in my opinion):

Lots of Twitter services will ask you for you username and password to access your account to do what it needs to do. While this is no problem, there are many many websites which will use this to spam your Twitter followers and possible get you banned for something you didn’t even do. Be EXTREMELY weary when you sign up for any 3rd party Twitter website, especially ones promoting “free” followers. Those ones almost always spam your Tweets.

One major tip is to never tweet about going for a vacation or even for a trip to another city… you never know who is listening!
