Buffer Pin It UFC 111 Fight Card

I really should have gone with a post title more along the lines of, “Finally My UFC 111 Predictions and Fight Card” based solely on the fact that it’s been a while since I have done my typical UFC predictions. I guess it’s a good thing my boy James holds it down with his UFC 111 Betting Lines, UFC 111 Countdown and of course our MMA Punk exclusive UFC 111 Prediction contest.

I won’t plan on this post getting much action and I fully intend to watch every bit of UFC 111 live as it occurs, so I won’t be posting live UFC 111 results or my instant UFC 111 recap either. I will most likely do a UFC 111 recap sometime Sunday morning after I consume all of the beatings that will surely occur tonight.

I AM BEYOND EXCITED!!! Tonight can’t come fast enough. Anyway, my UFC 111 predictions are short and sweet since I took forever to get it out.

UFC 111 Predictions and Fight Card

George St. Pierre vs Dan Hardy

Hot damn I am excited about this fight, not because I thinks it’s one of the best championship bouts of all time, but more or less because I can’t wait to see St. Pierre beat Dan Hardy down a notch or two. The only way I see Hardy winning this fight is with a looping punch from the outside that St. Pierre doesn’t see, anything outside of that and St. Pierre will own the fight. My prediction: George St. Pierre, by how ever the hell he chooses to win.

Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin

So much excitement when the big boys slap hands for a few rounds and this should be one of the more exciting heavyweight bouts in a while, one of these two will get a crack at Brock Lesnar when he returns to the Octagon. Big boys, big hands and big mouths, at the end of the day I don’t see Carwin having enough tools in the shed to beat Mir.

My prediction, Frank Mir by submission.

UFC 111 Predictions

Jon Fitch vs Ben Saunders

My prediction: Jon Fitch

Mark Bocek vs Jim Miller

My Prediction: Jim Miller

Nate Diaz vs Rory Markham

Anyone that reads my blog on a regular basis already has a pretty good idea that I won’t be picking Nate Diaz tonight, I’m not a fan of the Diaz brothers and I typically do my predictions based on my personal views :) My prediction, Rory Markham.

Ricardo Almeida vs Matt Brown

My prediction: Matt Brown

Kurt Pellegrino vs Fabricio Camoes

My prediction: Kurt Pellegrino

I know these are hardly the most in depth UFC 111 predictions you’ve seen leading up to tonight’s event, I wanted to get them out there so I could hear your thoughts on tonight’s UFC 111. Leave a comment and share your thoughts on who you feel will win and why, I will be tweeting about the fights on Twitter tonight @extremejohn, join the conversation.

You might want to subscribe to my rss feed so you know when I post my UFC 111 Results.

P.s. Just for the record I would love to see St. Pierre KO Hardy.

George St Pierre reminds me of this little guy I knew growing up that just had a natural ass whooping talent and he was very quiet. I hope you enjoy the fights I’m hoping to watch them myself :) Thanks

Fitch had another good showing tonight, but the crowd isn’t too into him. Hardy and GSP getting ready to start as I type. :-P

@Vince@Pro Wrestling Moves, the new “mainstream” crowd doesn’t appreciate technical ground art. Fitch had a great showing, he stuck to his gameplan and did exactly what he wanted to do. Can’t blame him for that.
