UFC 124 fight card and predictions are up now that UFC 123 Machida vs Jackson is in the books. Imagine that, two loaded fight cards in a row to help us get past the Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami fight card of UFC 122 in Germany. I think it’s only fair to treat us mixed martial arts (MMA) fans to a banged up fight card.

UFC 124 should deliver some serious excitement with the likes of George St. Pierre vs Josh Koscheck, Joe Stevenson vs Mac Danzig and “The Pitbull” Thiago Alves vs John Howard. With every new UFC fight card comes my brainless “I pick who I want to win” UFC predications, with that being the case don’t base any of your major gambling moments on my predictions. Nevermind that 85% success rate I have.

OK, maybe not. Anyway, UFC 124 predictions and fight card after the bump.

Main UFC 124 Fight Card

UFC 124  takes place in GSP’s neck of the woods at the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec Canada on December 11, 2011. Battle time is 10pm as usual, UFC 124 prelims will NOT be shown on Spike TV.

George St. Pierre vs Josh Koscheck

If Josh Koscheck didn’t act like such a dumb ass on this season of The Ultimate Fighter this decision would have been much easier for me to make. Now thanks to K0s acting like a bigger jack ass then usual I find myself torn between picking a guy that wears shorts that are WAAAAY too violating and a guy with a weird afro that talks entirely too much shit.

I could base my prediction solely on skill and past fight experience, but that would be too easy. GSP has both of those on lock, problem is I rarely pick who I actually think will win and pick who I would like to see win. Even though George St. Peirre has the skill set on lock and he’s the nicest guy on the planet I’m getting bored, I need to see another title change. My UFC 124 prediction, Josh Koscheck.

Stefan Struve vs Sean McCorkle

With Stefan Struve standing at a cool 11′ 9″ tall I don’t really see Sean MCorkle getting inside on Struve to get the job done. My prediction, Stefan Struve.

P.s. Just to show just how little sense my predictions make… I actually want McCorkle to win but didn’t pick him, makes no sense at all.

Joe Stevenson vs Mac Danzig

This should be a sweet fight, assuming Joe “Daddy” Stevenson can remember the 11 kids mouths that he has to feed. All kidding aside this fight will be a blast to watch with both fighters having a tendency to produce very entertaining fights, a KO could be in order here or at the very least a bloodfest. My prediction, Joe Stevenson.

Thiago Alves vs John Howard

I would like love to see Thiago “The Pitbull” Alves get back to his old ways of brutality. I mean just lay it all out, attack like Diego Sanchez attacked my boy Clay Guida. Simply rooting for brutality in this one, my prediction Thiago “Pitbull” Alves.

Charles Oliveira vs Jim Miller

Anyone that’s been reading my blog or visiting my Facebook Fan Page over the past year or so knows I’ll be going with Jim Miller here.

Preliminary UFC 124 Fight Card

  • Marc Bocek vs Dustin Hazelett
  • Matt Riddle vs Sean Pierson
  • Dan Miller vs Joe Doerksin
  • T.J Grant vs Ricardo Almeida
  • Jesse Bongfeldt vs Rafael Natal

I agree with you. Normally I don’t know that I’d pick Koscheck, because I think he is outmatched by the skills of GSP. But I haven’t been impressed with GSP’s last few fights. In fact, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think he has finished anyone in his last four fights. Although a lot of people are, I really have no interest in seeing a GSP vs. Anderson Silva five-round (nobody can finish the other) decision fight. So I’m picking Koscheck and I’d prefer it by KO. And yes, this season of TUF has been annoying.

Haha, but hey it was nice to see Bruce Leroy finally get his chip rattled a little bit.

St. Pierre looks very calm so far, could be a bad thing or a good thing. Guess we’ll see on that.

123 was a little shocking to say the least. Good card overall way better than 122

I’m hoping that GSP smashed Koschek, that guy is a serious punk with a big mouth. Although, I will admit that he is very athletic and probably works his butt off. However, he’s too cocky for his own good and acts like a child.
