It’s been a while since I posted a UFC predictions article, something that Dave was so nice to point out in the comments here a few days ago. I figured there’s no better time to get back into posting my UFC predictions than now, with an awesome fight card coming our way on Saturday in the form of UFC 143 Condit vs Diaz.

UFC 143: Diaz vs Condit Predictions
Mike Pierce vs Josh Koscheck
Pierce is a monster, but when it comes to experience and level of competitor faced, Josh Koscheck gets the edge.

Roy Nelson vs Fabricio Werdum
It’s easy to look at Roy Nelson and completely forget that he actually has a solid ground game. Problem is that ground game doesn’t come remotely close to Werdum’s skill set. If Nelson doesn’t end this one in the 1st round he’s in trouble. Going for the country boy.
My Pick: Roy Nelson
Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit
Holy crap what a fight this is going to be. The key for Condit will be stopping Nick Diaz’s forward motion, something no other fighter in as long as I can remember has done. If Diaz has his way with things and walks forward the entire fight, it won’t be much of a fight at all. Condit MUST keep Diaz at bay or moving away.
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Nick Diaz on the ground, we all know his boxing is nothing short of unstoppable lately. I think it would be interesting if Condit could manage to gain top position on the ground, it would put Diaz in a place he hasn’t been in in a long time. Against someone who is VERY dangerous there.
Now, with that said… I almost always pick whoever Nick Diaz is fighting, I think the last time I picked him was against Paul Daley. I might as well stick with that game plan until if Diaz faces GSP.
My Pick: Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit
Parting Shots
The UFC 143 fight card is stacked with fights that should be bangers all night long. I’m taking Diaz vs Condit for fight of the night with Pierce and Koz coming in at a close second, that fight should be fireworks from go.

I’ve got Condit also, but Diaz scares me. Dude is angry…..and that may be a good thing tonight. Should be a great card.

Looks like we came away with the win. Everyone is saying controversial, but I honestly believe Condit frustrated Diaz, stuck to his game plan and pulled out 4-1.
Totally agree. When I saw all the comments on Twitter about people saying Diaz was robbed, I wasn’t sure we had seen the same fight. It may have been 3-2, but Condit DEFINITELY won that fight.
Werdum was the scary one. Can’t miss his next fight.

Riiiight!! Werdum looked ridiculous, if he were fighting most of the other heavyweights, the first knee Nelson took would have put them on the canvas.
