I have been sitting here battling one crappy ass cold, I finally decided to man up and get my UFC Fight Night Lauzon vs Stephens Picks post before the Fight Night Live 8 at 9:00pm on Spike TV. I will also be posting the Live UFC Fight Night Results in this post so it’s pretty simple for everyone to grab. Before I pass out while I stand here I will see if I can get my picks made and Im sure someone will have some issue with one of my picks or more…. Im more than OK with that, it’s my Professional MMA Opinion and Im entitled to it, im not really sure where I got the Professional part from but it slides in there real nice, enjoy it.
I just had to tell a friend of mine that is at the UFC Fight Night to stop telling me results from the preliminary bouts. Let’s get it started! Ok first thought of the night for me is, “Holy shit UFC Ultimate Comebacks” in BLU RAY! It’s like Christmas in February thanks to the UFC and Fight Night Live. Just finished watching Josh Neer vs Melvin Goulard and it reminded me of just how much a gamer Josh Neer is, he had a massive cut in that fight, fought through it and took out Melvin Goulard.
I am starting to think while Im watching this Live UFC Fight Night that I would rather see it on Pay Per View, the commercials are killing me. It’s tme for Josh Neer vs Mac Danzig Im excited to see this fight, looking for Neer but feeling like Danzig wins it.
Here is the UFC Fight Night 8 fight card with my pick and why next to it.
Joe Lauzon Vs. Jeremy Stephens – This is the Main Event on the UFC Fight Night Live Fight Card tonight, and it’s a tough one to pick. Im going to go with Lauzon tonight simply based on the fact that he keeps his composure well and he is always focused for a fight.

Joe Lauzon vs Jeremy Stephens Fight Night Live Results:
Good first round for Lauzon as well as Stephens, Stephens closed out the round strong and I believe the fact the fight got out of the first round puts Joe Lauzon in a bad position because they are both very slippery, which could mean no tap outs..
Lauzon on top as we coast through the second round, Lauzon has side control but isn’t doing anything with is. Full Mount, now Lauzon has Stephens back. ot looking good for Stephens. Stephens rolls him and is on top and throwing some bombs when he can. Lauzon is cut bad but now on top in north south position, looking for full mount again now has side control. Back to full mount.
Lauzon wraps up a sick arm bar, Stephens tries to roll out but couldn’t escape. Stephens taps out.
Cain Velasquez Vs. Denis Stojnic – We have Cain who is 4-0 in Pro MMA Fights and Denis who is 12-1. Regardless of the inflated win record for Denis im picking the toned down win record of Cain for this fight.

First round easily goes to Cain Velasquez with constant destroying leg kicks, inside and out. Big shots, massive knee’s no doubt it’s all Cain. Denis will need a miracle (haymaker) to turn this around. No chance on three rounds in my opinion.This fight is close to being stopped, Denis is almost donzo. And within 30 seconds, fights over ref stoppage Denis had no right being in there with Cain tonight.
Mac Danzig Vs. Josh Neer – Mac Danzig focused on the show, trained hard and can do his thing int he cage. I will pick Mac Dandig to win this one over Josh “The Dentist” Neer, all though I would prefer to see Neer do it old school Im not sure he will be able to against Danzig.

What an excellent first round and in typical fashion Josh Neer wants to fight making this one worth the 300 commercials so far. First round was real close, Neer got cut but I give the round to Neer. If this goes three rounds Ill be amazed.
There’s your fight of the night people, Josh Neer by Triangle choke. Just prior to the triabgle choke Neer was hitting Mac Danzig with huge elbows from the top. Nice win for Josh Neer.
Luigi Fioravanti Vs. Anthony Johnson – with a very strange looking head it’s almost immposible to think that Luigi Fioravanti could possibly lose? Even with the rough and tumble MMA Fighter looks and ears I don’t think it works in Luigi’s favor tonight. This is a little bit of a toughy for me but I am going to take Anthony Johnson to win this fight.

As I expected and picked, Anthony Johnson went on to win this fight pounding out Fiorvanti after catching him and knocking him down twice. Johnson stalked Luigi and beat’em until the ref stopped it. End of story.
Gleison Tibau Vs. Rich Clementi – now here we go with old schooler Rich Clementi doing things big tonight against Tibau, let’s face it at this point I think Rich is fighting for his UFC life tonight and if he plans on hanging around he better get things done quick tonight against Tibau. Emotional favorite I am taking Rich “No Love” Clementi.

Kurt Pellegrino Vs. Rob Emerson – Not sure if this one will air or not I still haven’t gone through what will air live on Spike TV for the UFC Fight Night Live 8 or what will be undercard. I wouldn’t mind seeing Rob Emerson from the Ultimate Fighter fight and all though I don’t see his experience level being close to Kurt’s, either way I take Emerson…
