Now there’s a ton of reasons and arguments about why the economy sucks these days and I could probably write my useless opinions all day long about the matter. However I have one specific thing that I like to attribute the shitty Economy to that I plan on talking about in this blog entry.

The main reason for the shitty economy is because of the very people that live in this country. You can blame useless Geaorge Bush (we know he sucks), but the reality is that when it comes down to it we can blame many of the very people that stand around us and that we deal with on a daily basis. Those people being the useless Employee’s of the world. I mean lets face it, every Business Owner knows exactly what Im talking about, hiring people today is a fucking joke to say the very least.

You have all kinds of Employee’s out there, but the one Employee that seems to be lacking the most is the Employee that wants to actually work, wants to advance and wants to earn their wages. Those employee’s are a heaven sent, it’s just too bad they are so far and few between that weeding through the wasteful one’s to grab a good one becomes a constant battle. EVERYONE wants to make more money, shit you would be an idiot if you didn’t want to. It’s just too bad that most of the people that want to make more money, don’t want to do a fucking thing to actually deserve a higher rate of pay. In addition to the lack of qualified people that actually want to work for a living you than have to deal with the one’s who at ONE TIME wanted to work for a living but have decided somewhere along the way that they are god’s gift and everyone owes them something, without them actually putting any effort into it.

I hear it all the time, “I want to make more money.“, “How did you do it? I want to be as successful as you are.” , “What’s the secret?” I will say the same thing here that I say to everyone that asks me that question over and over again. “There is no secret, I have no magic 8 ball, I just WORK.” Regardless if it’s a weekend, Holiday or whatever else, I work. As many hours as it takes for as many days as it takes to get it done. Maybe I need to make my answer more basic, because to some people “Work” means showing up and collecting a paycheck every Friday for them gracing us with their presence, for others it means they show up and from time to time do what they are suppose to do, but certainly not someone you can count on every day, day in and day out. Looking at those two associate types right there makes me wonder, if someone comes in and gives half the effort or no effort shouldn’t their paycheck reflect it? I mean why would any idiot think that they can do 1/2 the job or the part of the job THEY want to do, meanwhile they hand off everything else or simply just don’t complete what was asked of them? Than when that Employee ends up being Terminated they sit around and wonder, “Why?”  The answer is simple, because as long as you get paid a full paycheck your expected to do whatever is asked of you while you continue to collect that paycheck. You can spin it all you want, and the Human Resource people out there will piss and moan and cry, but the sad reality is if people would do their job in most cases you wouldn’t even need Human Resources.

I made a commitment to myself going into 2008 that I would no longer find myself playing games with the Employee’s out there that really just don’t cut it. Earlier in the year one of those problems was handled, than shortly after there was the Cali experience, another situation handled. However there are a few open ends that either need to get on track with stuff or they will also be considered another Situation handled. At what point does the American Business owner stop dealing with the Lazy, Hypocritical finger pointers, big talkers and snakes in the grass and start dealing with people that simply want to work, actually do their job to the fullest and get paid for it? Is that too much to ask?

The shitty service each and everyone of us deals with at Convenient stores, Wal Mart, Target, Restaurants and so many other service related business’s is more than clear. You know  those experiences  and it’s honestly a joke. You can thank the Lazy ass’s of the world that think everyone owes them something or that because they have been around a long time they have some sense of seniority and somehow slid themselves into a position of power where they decide what goes on. For as long as these people continue to ask for and get raises, and for as long as they continue to be paid for doing half the job this country will stay exactly the way it is. Outsourcing everything and cutting out the American worker, the same worker that wanted more money but did the same exact amount of work or even less to earn that money.

It’s time everyone wakes up and understands it, hopefully the current generation of parents will grow their children to respect working and what working really means. Maybe some of the people that were raised in households with working parents will go back to the very platform and example that was left for them and actually start working and appreciating the fact that they have a job, there’s 200,000 people in this County alone that are without jobs… Looking to work. Sooner or later one of those 200,000 people will come through the door and blow away the complacent lazy employee, than that complacent lazy employee will be wondering what happened? Asking that ,”Why?” question again and blaming everyone around them except themselves.

If your one of those lucky and fortunate people that continues to have a job and make money, I advise you to continue working, work hard, bring on a new you everyday in order to secure your future. You never know who might come walking through the door one day and want your job, and actually want to WORK for their paycheck.
